Newark Airport Car Service
Newark Liberty spreads across three separate terminals, and the roads, the AirTrain, and the pickup areas around them are in the middle of a long rebuild. The hour around your flight is where a trip through EWR gets unpredictable: which terminal you land at, where cars are allowed to wait this month, how long customs takes, and whether the Turnpike backs up at the wrong exit. Our Newark Airport car service is built around that hour. The meeting point, the flight timing, and the route are settled before you land, so leaving the airport is the easy part.
The people we pick up here are mostly business travelers flying United out of Terminal C, families coming home to Bergen and Rockland counties after a vacation, fans heading to a game or concert at the Prudential Center or MetLife Stadium, and students and parents at the start and end of each semester.
Where Your Chauffeur Waits at Terminals A, B and C
Unless you ask for a meet and greet, the chauffeur texts you after landing and meets you in the pickup area for pre-arranged cars. That area is in a different place at each terminal:
Terminal A, usually the quickest way out
The new Terminal A has a newer, less crowded roadway, and it is usually the fastest pickup at Newark. The chauffeur waits on the arrivals level, across the street from the terminal. Text when you have your bags and walk straight across.
Terminal B, with an international arrivals hall
Cars wait on the arrivals level, at the terminal frontage. Terminal B also handles international flights, and in the afternoon customs can take 30 to 60 minutes, so we time the chauffeur for that rather than for the landing alone.
Terminal C, the busiest and still under construction
The pickup area for pre-arranged cars at Terminal C has moved several times with the construction, most recently into the parking garage, so the chauffeur texts the exact spot. Follow the signs and allow a few extra minutes of walking. Flights from Europe land here in waves in the afternoon, and that is when the customs lines are longest.
If you prefer to be met inside, add a meet and greet when you book. At Newark, the chauffeur stands at the baggage carousel for your flight with a name sign, or, for an international arrival at Terminal B or C, just outside the customs exit where passengers come out with their bags. The chauffeur helps with the luggage and walks you to the car, and the meet and greet charge is added to your quote.
A family coming home through Newark found their chauffeur waiting in the baggage area:
“We were picked up at Newark brought home. Marco, our driver was waiting for us in the baggage area obviously helped us with our baggage and was a pleasure driving home.” (Drew S., Google review)
Timing Around Customs, Holiday Crowds and Terminal Changes
Every EWR car service booking follows the flight, so the chauffeur’s time moves with an early or late landing. The free waiting time starts when the plane touches down: 60 minutes after a flight within the US and 90 minutes after an international one, then billed by the minute. Two situations show how that works on the ground:
- The Sunday after Thanksgiving. A family lands at Terminal C with the whole terminal crowded and the pickup lanes backed up. The chauffeur waits nearby until the family texts that they have their bags, then meets them at the pickup spot, so they walk straight to the car instead of searching the curb for it.
- A terminal change on the day of travel. When an airline moves a flight to a different terminal, dispatch sees the change in the flight data and sends the chauffeur to the right building.
A regular client described one of those crowded pickups in her review:
“Our recent driver, Joe, was very welcoming and conscientious to our needs and safety during a recent crowded, chaotic pickup at Newark International Airport.” (Deborah, Google review)
Drive Times from Newark Airport to Common Destinations
Newark’s strength is its New Jersey routes, which skip the Hudson crossings entirely. These are the drive times our dispatchers plan with:
| From Newark Airport to | Normal traffic | Rush hour |
| Prudential Center | 10 to 15 min | 20 to 30 min |
| Jersey City waterfront | 20 to 30 min | 35 to 50 min |
| MetLife Stadium | 20 to 30 min | 40 to 55 min |
| Rochelle Park / Paramus | 25 to 35 min | 45 to 60 min |
| Morristown | 30 to 40 min | 45 to 65 min |
| Princeton University | 50 to 60 min | 1 h 10 min to 1 h 30 min |
The ride home to North Jersey is one of our most common bookings, such as the drive from Bergen County to Newark. Airport-to-airport transfers are frequent too: a connection between JFK and Newark for an international flight, a run to LaGuardia, or a private departure from Teterboro.

Choosing a Sedan, an SUV or a Sprinter for Newark
The vehicle should match the flight as much as the headcount. A sedan suits one or two people with normal luggage off a domestic flight, and it is the usual choice for a business trip. An SUV gives a bag-heavy international traveler room after customs at Terminal B or C, where checked luggage matters more than seats. For a team landing together or a trip to a stadium or convention, the Mercedes Sprinter keeps everyone and their bags in one vehicle instead of splitting the party across a crowded curb.
One traveler booked us both ways for a work trip through Newark:
“i hired Airbrook this past weekend to take me to and from Newark airport for a work trip and was not disappointed! Mario and Mustafa we’re prompt, helpful and very kind during my pick up and drop off.” (Haley H., Google review)
Heading Out on an Early Morning Flight from Newark
For a transfer to this airport from Bergen County, a pickup 2.5 hours before a domestic flight is usually right. Before 6 a.m., the roads are clear, but the security lines at Terminal C can already be long, so the time you gain on the Turnpike is often spent inside the terminal. A pickup between midnight and 4:59 a.m. carries a $25 surcharge plus gratuity.
One chauffeur knew a few ways around the traffic to Terminal C, as his passenger noted:
“Driver was there to pick me up 20 minutes early. He got me to the airport with no issues and had a few tricks to get me to Terminal C around the traffic.” (Phillip F., Google review)

Pets, Child Seats, Extra Stops and Cancellations at Newark
Can I bring my dog on a ride from Newark?
Yes, at no extra charge. Mention the pet when you book so we can send a pet-friendly chauffeur, and keep the pet in a crate or carrier, not on the front seat. A cleaning charge applies only if the vehicle needs cleaning after the ride, starting at $150 for a sedan or SUV. Service animals ride free.
Do you provide child seats for a Newark pickup?
Yes. Child seats cost $15 each, and the parent installs the seat.
Can the ride from Newark include a few stops?
Yes. Tell us every stop when you book and we plan the route and quote it in advance; stops added along the way are billed separately.
How late can I cancel a Newark ride?
Sedan and SUV rides can be canceled up to 2 hours before pickup, by calling dispatch. A passenger van needs 48 hours’ notice, by phone or email.
