Jersey City Car Service
Getting around Jersey City means working with the PATH, the Holland Tunnel, the Turnpike to Newark, and a waterfront packed with office towers, hotels, and wedding venues. Our Jersey City limo service covers Downtown and Exchange Place, Newport, Journal Square, and the streets around Liberty State Park, and every trip out of the city is planned around the tunnel traffic that shapes Hudson County. The riders are a mix of executives from the waterfront towers, couples marrying by the river, cruise passengers heading to Bayonne and residents on their way to a flight.
Airport Rides From Jersey City: Times, Routes and Fares
Newark is 6 to 10 miles away, depending on the neighborhood, which makes Jersey City one of the easiest places to leave from for a morning flight. For LaGuardia and JFK, the tunnel traffic decides everything, so dispatch sets the pickup time based on the day and hour of the flight. From Exchange Place:
| To | Normal traffic | Rush hour | Usual route | Sedan from |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Newark Airport | 20 to 25 min | 30 to 45 min | Turnpike Newark Bay Extension, then the Turnpike south | $108.32* |
| LaGuardia | 45 to 60 min | 1 h 15 min to 1 h 30 min | Holland or Lincoln Tunnel, across Manhattan to the RFK Bridge and the Grand Central Parkway | $206.42* |
| JFK | 60 to 75 min | 1 h 30 min to 2 h | Holland Tunnel and Brooklyn, or Staten Island and the Verrazzano Bridge when the tunnel backs up | $218.10* |
Our Jersey City airport car service charges the same starting fare from Downtown and Exchange Place, Newport, Journal Square and the Liberty State Park area. The same fares apply to hotel and venue drop-offs, such as Newark Airport to The Holland Hotel, LaGuardia to Hyatt House Jersey City, or JFK to Mana Contemporary. Travelers landing at JFK can find more about the ride from JFK into Jersey City on its own page.
*Estimated one-way starting prices for a sedan from our online booking form (September 2026). Tunnel and bridge tolls and parking are added, and a gratuity of at least 15% is added to every reservation.
Where Chauffeurs Wait at PATH Stations and the Waterfront Towers
Much of Jersey City is closed to cars or reserved for buses, so we agree on the pickup spot in advance. This is where our chauffeurs wait and what helps them pull up at the right moment:
| Place | Where the chauffeur waits | Tip from our team |
|---|---|---|
| Exchange Place PATH | On Hudson Street or Montgomery Street, next to the plaza, which is closed to cars | From 4:30 to 7 p.m., Holland Tunnel traffic backs up across downtown, so we allow extra time for evening pickups |
| Newport PATH | On Washington Boulevard next to the station entrance, or at the Newport Centre entrance you name | Washington Boulevard is busy at rush hour; text when you come up from the platform |
| Grove Street PATH | On Christopher Columbus Drive near the station; the Newark Avenue pedestrian plaza is closed to cars | Friday and Saturday evenings are crowded, so we agree on a corner in advance |
| Journal Square PATH | On Kennedy Boulevard or Sip Avenue, outside the bus lanes of the Transportation Center | Cars cannot wait in the bus areas; the chauffeur waits nearby and pulls up when you text |
| Exchange Place, Harborside and Newport towers | At the main lobby entrance or the building’s car pickup area; the chauffeur texts on arrival | Tell us the building and the entrance; several towers have more than one, and security may not let cars wait in front |
A longtime client appreciated knowing exactly where the car was waiting:
“The drivers were courteous and even though they arrived early, they did not rush us at all. They just wanted us to know where they were waiting. They said to take our time.” (Frances S., Google review)
Black Car Service for Exchange Place, Harborside and Newport
The black car service in Jersey City that we run for businesses is used mostly by banks, brokerage and financial services firms, insurance companies and law firms in the waterfront towers. Their executives head most often to Newark Airport, to meetings in Manhattan and to client dinners in the evening. Some book a sedan or an SUV by the hour for a full day of meetings on both sides of the river: a sedan starts at $94.90* per hour with a 4-hour minimum, and an SUV at $116.80* per hour with a 5-hour minimum. Accounts and billing are set up through our corporate travel program.
*Starting hourly prices from our online booking form (September 2026), counted from garage to garage; tolls, parking and a gratuity of at least 15% are added.
Regular riders tend to notice the texts as much as the car, as one family who uses us for all their travel wrote:
“The drivers are always on time, very professional and friendly. The vehicles are always clean and top notch. We appreciate the pick up status from the drivers via text.” (A G., Google review)
Weddings at Liberty House, Maritime Parc and Battello
Liberty House and Maritime Parc both sit inside Liberty State Park, off Audrey Zapp Drive. The cars drop off at the front door and wait in the venue’s lot, and because many couples stop for photos along the park’s waterfront on the way, we build that time into the schedule. Battello is at the end of Washington Boulevard at the Newport marina, where parking is tight: the cars drop off at the entrance, wait nearby and come back when the coordinator calls. The rest of the day, from the couple’s car to guest shuttles, is planned through our wedding transportation in New Jersey.
Cape Liberty Sailings, Waterfront Events and Occasional Tours
In cruise season, Cape Liberty Cruise Port in Bayonne is one of the rides Jersey City clients book with us most, since it is roughly 15 to 20 minutes from Downtown. A sedan from Downtown Jersey City to the port starts at $134.02*, and this season the sailings we see are mostly Royal Caribbean and Celebrity. Other ports and airport-to-ship transfers are covered by our cruise terminal transportation.
*Estimated one-way starting price for a sedan from our online booking form (September 2026); tolls, parking and a gratuity of at least 15% are added.
One couple booked us both ways for a cruise from the Bayonne port:
“Air Brook took us to the Bayonne port to go to our cruise and return to home after our cruise ended. The service was very reliable and the drivers were very courteous and reliable.” (Alfred K., Google review)
Closer to home, we drive guests to concerts at White Eagle Hall and to events and galas at the Liberty Science Center, mostly for corporate groups, with concert rides and event transportation for companies. We also run the occasional private city tour past the Colgate Clock, Liberty State Park, Mana Contemporary and Hamilton Park, booked by the hour and usually lasting 3 to 4 hours.
What to Send When You Reserve a Pickup in Jersey City
A Jersey City car service booking goes fastest when dispatch has these details up front:
- the street address, or the PATH station and exit you will use
- the building and the entrance, for a pickup at an office tower
- the airline and flight number, for an airport ride
- how many people are traveling and how many bags they have
A sedan carries up to three passengers, an SUV up to six, and a Mercedes Sprinter up to 14 for wedding parties and group dinners. Riders across Hudson County and beyond have given our Jersey City limo service and the rest of Air Brook a 4.9 on Google, from more than 875 reviews.
Call dispatch at (800) 800-1990, email info@airbrook.com or book through our online reservation form.
Waiting Time, Late Trains and Night Pickups in Jersey City
How long will the chauffeur wait outside my building?
At pickups that are not at an airport, the first 15 minutes of waiting are free; after that, waiting is billed by the minute. At the airports, the chauffeur waits 60 minutes after a domestic landing and 90 minutes after an international one.
My PATH train or private flight is running late. What should I do?
Trains and private flights are not tracked automatically, so send a quick call or text to dispatch and we move the chauffeur’s time.
Is there a surcharge for a pickup after a late night downtown?
Pickups between midnight and 4:59 a.m. carry a $25 surcharge, and on major holidays a surcharge of at least $50 applies, each plus gratuity.
