The 2026 FIFA World Cup kicks off this June, and New Jersey isn’t waiting around. With MetLife Stadium hosting eight matches, including the July 19 Final, the Garden State has stacked its calendar with fan festivals, neighborhood watch parties, and massive hubs that run the full length of the tournament. Whether you’re catching Brazil vs. Morocco on June 13 or camping out for the Final, there’s something going on near you almost every single day.
This is what the next six weeks look like across the state:
These aren’t one-night-only affairs. All three run for weeks and anchor the regional experience.
The official NYNJ Host Committee fan destination sits at SI Stadium in Harrison and operates across 16 select dates from June 14 through July 15. It’s built around a 60-foot screen on the pitch floor, so watching a Group Stage match here feels different from your average bar setup.
What to expect:
Tickets: Group Stage general admission starts at $10 (fees included). Kids 12 and under get in free with a ticketed adult. Knockout Stage tickets will be released later.
Group Stage dates: June 14, 17, 19, 20, 21, 23, 24, 26
Knockout dates: July 1-3 (Round of 32), July 9-11 (quarterfinals), July 14-15 (semifinals)
Right next to New York New Jersey Stadium, the American Dream complex transforms into the region’s biggest daily fan fest; New Jersey’s answer to a tournament-long street party running from June 11 through July 19. Expect daily watch parties, concerts, and celebrity appearances throughout the tournament. It’s the closest you’ll get to stadium energy without a match ticket.
LSC runs its “Summer of Soccer & Science” series through the tournament: a mix of STEM-based soccer programming and live match viewing. It’s a genuinely creative angle: educational activations tied to the sport, making it one of the better family-friendly options in the region that isn’t purely about sitting in front of a screen.
Goya Presents Flag Cities 2026 is the NJ FIFA fan festival series making stops across Hudson and Bergen counties. Each event brings food trucks, a beer garden, live entertainment, giant LED screens for match broadcasts, and interactive soccer zones. Think block party meets international street fair.
Every stop also features:
Here’s the full schedule:
A few dates align directly with nearby MetLife matches: the June 12 Jersey City festival runs the day before Brazil vs. Morocco (June 13), and the June 26 Rutherford stop lands the day before Panama vs. England (June 27). Good timing if you’re making a weekend of it.
Beyond the headline destinations, New Jersey awarded $5 million in grants to 34 organizations hosting their own World Cup community events. A few worth knowing about:
That’s not a short list, and it keeps growing.
A few things to sort out before you go:
New Jersey has been building toward this for years. The matches at MetLife are the obvious draw, but the fan experience stretching across the region, from Harrison to Hackensack, Jersey City to Rutherford, means you don’t need a stadium seat to be part of it.
Pick a date, find a spot that works for you, and show up.
