Nyack Car Service

Nyack is a village on the west bank of the Hudson in Rockland County, New York, just north of the Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge. Visitors come for the Edward Hopper House Art Center on North Broadway, the river trail at Nyack Beach State Park and the restaurants along Main Street and Broadway, and many of them stay at Hotel Nyack on High Avenue. Our Nyack car service links the village with six airports, New York City and northern New Jersey, and handles the short local rides in between.

Pickups in the Village Center, at the Hotels and in the Hills

Most rides start at a home in the village or in the hills above it, or at Hotel Nyack. In the evening, many pickups come from the restaurants on Main Street and Broadway. Each spot works a little differently:

  • Village center: parking is tight and there is rarely a place to stand, so the chauffeur waits on a nearby side street and pulls up at the door when you text or call.
  • Hotel Nyack: the chauffeur waits at the front entrance on High Avenue, and for early airport runs the car is there 10 minutes before the pickup time.
  • West Gate Inn: guests book it mostly for airport runs, with the chauffeur waiting at the front door.
  • Montefiore Nyack Hospital: for a discharge, call dispatch when the paperwork is done and the chauffeur comes to the main entrance.

A text when the car is outside is part of every pickup, as one client mentioned in his first review of Air Brook:

“Our driver, Kelvin arrived early. Text me to say he was outside. held the door open and took care of the bags.” (Ron D., Google review)

Timing the Cuomo Bridge and Choosing an Airport

Nyack clients fly most from LaGuardia and Newark, with Westchester County Airport a close third for short domestic flights because it is just across the bridge. The bridge sets the schedule: the eastbound morning rush runs from about 6:30 to 9:30 and the westbound evening rush from about 4 to 7, and lane work at night can slow things down, so dispatch checks the bridge before every early airport run. A morning crossing can add 20 minutes on the way to Westchester or LaGuardia, which is why our suggested pickups are a little earlier than a map shows:

From Nyack to Normal traffic Rush hour Suggested pickup before a morning flight
Westchester County (HPN) 30 to 40 min 45 to 60 min 2 hours before a domestic flight
Teterboro (TEB) 35 to 45 min 50 to 65 min About 1 hour before a private departure
LaGuardia (LGA) 50 to 60 min 75 to 90 min 3 hours before domestic, 3.5 hours before international
Newark Liberty (EWR) 55 to 70 min 80 to 100 min 3 hours before domestic, 3.5 to 4 hours before international
JFK 70 to 85 min 1 h 45 min to 2 h 3.5 hours before domestic, 4 hours before international
Stewart (SWF) 50 to 60 min 60 to 75 min 2 hours before a domestic flight

On the way home from a commercial flight, dispatch tracks the landing, and the chauffeur waits up to 60 minutes after a domestic arrival and up to 90 minutes after an international one at no extra charge.

Heavy traffic is part of most airport runs from Rockland, and one client appreciated a careful chauffeur on a difficult drive:

“Driver was on time for the pickup, careful with his driving in very heavy traffic and dealing with bad sunglare.” (Tim H., Google review)

Arriving at JFK and heading to the village costs about the same: a sedan from JFK to Hotel Nyack or to Nyack Seaport starts at $232.59*. Places this close together are priced almost the same, and the online booking form gives the exact fare for your address.

*Starting one-way prices from our online booking form, confirmed by Air Brook in September 2026. Tolls and parking are not included and are added to the fare, and a gratuity of at least 15% is added to every reservation. The final price depends on the date, the time and the exact address.

For many travelers the ride sets the tone for the trip, as one client wrote before her flight:

“Really wonderful service, punctual and experienced driver, cozy and calm, no worries before my plane flight!” (Olga C., Google review)

Weddings, River Events and Shows in the Village

Our chauffeurs know how to stop, wait and leave at the event spaces in and around the village:

  • The Angel Nyack, 18 South Broadway: the former First Reformed Church building, now an event venue. Broadway has little room to stop, so the car waits nearby and pulls up when called.
  • Nyack Boat Charter: drop-off is at the marina by the river. Give us the boat’s return time and the chauffeur is back when you dock.
  • Nyack Seaport: a catering venue on Burd Street by the river, where the car drops guests at the door and waits in the lot until the event ends.
  • Nyack Center: on Depew Avenue, where the car pulls up at the entrance after the show when you call.

Couples planning the full day, from the wedding party’s cars to guest runs, can work with our wedding transportation planners, and bigger nights out farther from home are covered by our rides to concerts and shows.

Executives, Families and Groups Traveling From Nyack

For executives staying in the village, a chauffeur service in Nyack means one driver who works around the meetings, including airport transfers and trips into Manhattan, arranged through our corporate transportation accounts. Our Nyack limo service also moves larger parties: family reunions, school trips and community outings travel together in a 23- or 37-passenger mini bus or a 55-passenger motorcoach booked as a charter bus with a driver.

All of these rides come from our own fleet of more than 250 company-owned, GPS-tracked, late-model vehicles, so the sedan, the SUV and the bus are dispatched by the same team.

Reserving a Car in Nyack

Send dispatch the pickup address (and whether it is in the village center), the time or flight number, the number of passengers and bags, and any stops. We also drive from neighboring Nanuet and Pearl River, and from every other part of Rockland County. Clients across the region rate us 4.9 stars on Google, in more than 870 reviews.

International Flights, Late Nights, Child Seats and Waiting at Home

Can I fly internationally from Westchester County Airport?

No. Westchester has no international flights, so for an overseas trip from Nyack the choice is usually LaGuardia, Newark or JFK, and we plan the pickup for the longer check-in.

Does a pre-dawn pickup in Nyack for an early LaGuardia or Newark flight cost more?

Yes. Pickups between midnight and 4:59 a.m. cost $25* extra, plus gratuity. Since we pick up about 3 hours before a domestic departure from LaGuardia or Newark, any flight before 8:00 a.m. puts the car at your door inside that window.

Do you provide child seats, and can pets ride along?

Child seats cost $15 each and the parent installs the seat. Pets travel in a crate or carrier, and service animals ride free.

How long will the chauffeur wait if I am not ready?

For pickups that are not at an airport, the first 15 minutes of waiting are free, and after that waiting is billed by the minute. If you are catching a train or a private flight that is running late, a call or text to dispatch moves the chauffeur’s time.
