Private Transportation to the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus

The Meadowlands Exposition Center, at 355 Plaza Drive in Secaucus, is part of the Harmon Meadow complex and offers 61,000 square feet of exhibit space for trade shows, conventions and corporate events. For exhibitors, its best feature is location: it sits about 8 miles from Teterboro, 12 to 15 miles from Newark Liberty and about 6 miles from Midtown Manhattan. Our private transportation to the Meadowlands Exposition Center is built for show days, when booth crews, speakers and visitors all need to arrive before the doors open and leave when the hall closes.

The ride from Newark Airport to the Meadowlands Exposition Center is the shortest airline connection, which is why most out-of-town exhibitors fly into EWR. Teams staying in Manhattan travel against the morning rush through the Lincoln Tunnel, but the evening ride back into the city is slow, so allow 45 to 60 minutes after 4 p.m.

Arriving by Air: Baggage Claim, Curbside or the FBO

At Newark, LaGuardia and JFK, you can ask for a meet and greet when you book: the chauffeur waits in the arrivals area at baggage claim with a name sign, helps with the bags and walks you to the car, and a meet and greet charge is added to the quote. Without it, the chauffeur texts you after landing and meets you at the curb or at the airport’s pickup area. Dispatch follows airline flights, and the chauffeur waits up to 60 minutes after a domestic landing and up to 90 minutes after an international one at no extra charge.

For executives flying private into Teterboro, the chauffeur waits in the FBO lobby. Private flights are not tracked automatically, so a quick call or text to dispatch is enough when the arrival time changes. Travelers landing commercially can find more on our Newark Airport pickups and LaGuardia pickups.

Clear details before landing make the rest of a show day easier, as one client wrote after an airport pickup:

“Excellent communication via text and email with specific details! Driver came 15 minutes early for pick up and we waited a very short time for driver at the airport.” (Elissa C., Google review)

Getting a Booth Crew and Its Cases to Plaza Drive

For a crew with cases and displays, the Mercedes Sprinter is the usual choice. With every seat taken, it has room for personal bags and small cases only, so when you bring pop-up displays and sample boxes, plan one of these:

  • leave a few seats in the Sprinter empty for the cases
  • add an SUV for the materials alongside the team
  • book an earlier run for one or two team members with the materials, so the booth is set up before the rest of the team arrives

Tell dispatch the number and size of the cases when you book. Freight for the booths goes through the show’s loading area and the show contractor, not the front door. Exhibitors carrying their own cases and pop-up displays usually unload at the main entrance with a hand cart; for anything larger, check the loading times with the show manager.

Hotel Shuttles for Two- and Three-Day Shows

Many exhibitors stay at the hotels in the Harmon Meadow area, such as Harmony Suites Secaucus Meadowlands and Hyatt Place Secaucus/Meadowlands, a short drive from the hall. Others stay near Newark Airport or in Midtown Manhattan and need a ride every morning and evening. A typical Meadowlands Exposition Center shuttle for a two- or three-day show looks like this:

  1. a Sprinter or a 23-passenger mini bus leaves the team’s hotel in the morning, before the doors open
  2. one or two extra runs at midday bring staff who change shifts
  3. the vehicle returns the team to the hotel at closing time
  4. sedans or SUVs cover managers who come and go during the day

For teams staying in Manhattan or near Newark Airport, we plan one morning run and one evening run instead. Larger programs with several groups are coordinated through our meeting and event transportation, and a standing loop between hotel and hall is part of our shuttle service.

For visitors who do not know the area, the ride is part of the impression the trip leaves, as one client wrote after her trip to New Jersey:

“I highly recommend this company, clean up to date car service. .thank you for making my trip to NJ a wonderful one!” (Joanne V., Google review)

Drop-Off and End-of-Day Pickup at the Main Entrance

We drop off and pick up at the main entrance on Plaza Drive. Parking at the center is free, so during a short visit the chauffeur can wait close by. At the end of the day, wait inside by the main entrance and text the chauffeur, who pulls up as you walk out. On closing day, when everyone leaves at once, we agree a pickup time in advance.
