Ho-Ho-Kus Limo Service

Ho-Ho-Kus is a small, historic borough strung along Franklin Turnpike, with two well-known event venues, the Ho-Ho-Kus Inn & Tavern and The Hermitage, and its own NJ Transit station. Our Ho-Ho-Kus limo service is built around what people here actually book: families leaving on vacation from Newark or LaGuardia, business travelers, wedding guests at the Inn, late trains home from New York, and a smaller group flying private from Teterboro, about 20 minutes away.

Driveways, the Inn’s Lot and a Small Station Lot: Where the Car Waits

The borough’s narrow roads and small lots shape every pickup. This is how our chauffeurs handle the places they visit most:

  • Homes: the chauffeur waits in the driveway or in front of the house.
  • Ho-Ho-Kus Inn & Tavern: the car uses the Inn’s own lot. Franklin Turnpike in front has no room to stand, so we never wait on the road.
  • The Hermitage: the drive and lot are small, so for events the car drops guests at the house and waits in the lot or comes back at a set time.
  • Ho-Ho-Kus station, at Brookside Avenue and First Street: the chauffeur waits in the station lot and texts you the car’s description. The lot is small and fills during the day, so evening pickups are easier.

Drive Times From Ho-Ho-Kus to Newark, Teterboro, LaGuardia and JFK

These are the times our dispatch plans with, and the pickup we suggest before a morning flight:

From Ho-Ho-Kus to Normal traffic Rush hour Suggested pickup before a morning flight
Teterboro (TEB) 20 to 25 min 30 to 40 min About 1 hour before a private departure
Newark Liberty (EWR) 35 to 45 min 55 to 70 min 2.5 hours before domestic, 3.5 hours before international
LaGuardia (LGA) 50 to 60 min 75 to 90 min 3 hours before domestic, 3.5 to 4 hours before international
JFK 70 to 85 min 1 h 45 min to 2 h 3.5 hours before domestic, 4 hours before international

On the way home, dispatch tracks your flight, and the chauffeur waits up to 60 minutes after a domestic landing and up to 90 minutes after an international one at no extra charge. Private flights into Teterboro are not tracked automatically, so the passenger or the crew should call dispatch if the arrival time changes.

Many clients come to us on a recommendation, like one first-time rider who wrote about her first trip with Air Brook:

“My first time using Air Brook! I was introduced to their service By a friend. Everything went Smoothly!” (Anne M., Google review)

Weddings at the Ho-Ho-Kus Inn & Tavern and The Hermitage

We drive weddings and private events at the Ho-Ho-Kus Inn & Tavern regularly, and at The Hermitage from time to time, mostly for small ceremonies and receptions on the grounds of the historic house where Aaron Burr married Theodosia Prevost in 1782. At the Inn, the couple is dropped at the main entrance and the cars wait in the Inn’s lot; at The Hermitage, the drop-off is at the house and the cars wait in the lot or return at a set time, since space is limited.

Guests usually stay at the Marriott Saddle Brook, the Residence Inn in Saddle River or the Marriott in Park Ridge. A typical plan: the couple rides in a sedan from home to the ceremony, and a passenger van shuttles about 12 guests from the Residence Inn to the Inn and back at the end of the night. For a larger guest list, a Mercedes Sprinter seats up to 14 and a 23-passenger mini bus up to 23, and our wedding transportation planners can coordinate the whole day.

For weddings at the Inn, send us the timeline a week before the day, so the chauffeurs know the send-off time and which guests go back to which hotel.

Late Trains Home: Ho-Ho-Kus Station, Secaucus and Hoboken

Commuters coming home late from New York book us for the last part of the trip. The chauffeur waits in the Ho-Ho-Kus station lot and texts the car’s description before the train comes in. Trains are not tracked automatically, so if yours is late or you miss it, a call or text to dispatch is enough and we move the pickup.

Late at night, when connections to Ho-Ho-Kus are few, some clients ride the train only as far as Secaucus Junction or Hoboken Terminal and ask us to pick them up there instead, which can save a long wait on a platform.

Late arrivals are where a chauffeur’s patience shows, as one client wrote after a 2 a.m. ride home:

“William was amazing. Our flight arrived 4 hours late at 2AM and he was right there to pick us up. Upon arriving home we could not locate our house key and he stayed until a family member arrived with a key so we wouldn’t be in the dark.” (Ken W., Google review)

Wine Tours, Concerts and Party Nights From Ho-Ho-Kus

Ho-Ho-Kus clients also book rides beyond airports, weddings and trains. Tasting days are planned through our New Jersey wine tours, shows through our rides to concerts, and celebrations through our bachelorette party transportation. For a limo in Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ on any of these nights, the pickup routine is the same as above.

Gates, Child Seats, Late Pickups and Waiting Time

My house has a gate and a long private drive. What should I tell you?

Mention it when you book, especially for an early flight, and include the gate code or where the chauffeur should wait, so the car is in the right place at pickup time.

Can you provide a child seat?

Yes. Ask for it when you book. Child seats cost $15* each, and the parent installs the seat.

Is there a surcharge for a pickup after midnight?

Pickups between midnight and 4:59 a.m. cost $25 extra, plus gratuity, which applies to many late trains and early flights.

How long will the chauffeur wait if I am running late?

For pickups that are not at an airport, the first 15 minutes are free. After that, waiting is billed by the minute.
