Hackensack Car Service

Hackensack is the county seat of Bergen County, and most of our rides here lead to one of three places: Hackensack University Medical Center, the Bergen County Justice Center on Main Street, or an airport. Our garage and dispatch office at 18 Overlook Avenue in neighboring Rochelle Park is about three miles from the medical center, usually a 10 to 15 minute drive, so a Hackensack car service booking starts close to your door at any hour.

The people we drive in Hackensack are mostly families heading to the airports, patients and their relatives going to the hospital and the John Theurer Cancer Center, attorneys, clients and witnesses due in court, FDU students at the start and end of each semester, and business travelers. The same team also covers every other town across Bergen County.

Drive Times and Starting Fares From Hackensack to the Airports

These are the times our dispatchers plan with, and the starting sedan fares from our online booking form:

From Hackensack to Normal traffic Rush hour Sedan from
Teterboro Airport (TEB) 10 to 15 min 15 to 25 min $144.24*
Newark Liberty (EWR) 25 to 35 min 45 to 60 min $120.54*
LaGuardia (LGA) 35 to 50 min 1 h to 1 h 30 min $207.02*
JFK 55 min to 1 h 15 min 1 h 15 min to 1 h 45 min $218.70*

*Estimated one-way prices for a standard sedan from our online booking form (September 2026). Tolls and parking are added, and a gratuity of at least 15% is added to every reservation. Your quote confirms the fare for your exact address.

A car service from Hackensack to Newark Airport is the shortest of the commercial airport runs, while LaGuardia and JFK depend on the crossing into New York, so the rush-hour column matters most there. After a domestic landing, the chauffeur waits up to 60 minutes at no charge, and after an international landing up to 90 minutes.

Getting to Appointments at Hackensack University Medical Center

The medical center is large, so we confirm the building when you book: the main hospital entrance on Prospect Avenue or the John Theurer Cancer Center on Second Street. The chauffeur pulls into that entrance’s patient pickup area. If the car cannot stay there, the chauffeur waits nearby or in the visitor garage and comes back as soon as you text.

For an early appointment, book the pickup 10 minutes earlier than the map suggests, because Prospect Avenue and the hospital garages back up between 7:00 and 9:00 a.m. on weekdays. If the patient needs help getting in and out of the car, mention it when you book, and the chauffeur plans a few extra minutes at the door.

Appointments often come in pairs, as one client found when his chauffeur got him and his wife to two appointments on time:

“Arrived 15 minutes early. Juan got my wife and I to two appointments at NYU Langone on time.” (Dennis, Google review)

How you pay for the time inside depends on how long the visit runs:

  • A short visit: the chauffeur waits during the appointment. The first 15 minutes are free, and waiting after that is billed by the minute, from $65* per hour in a sedan.
  • A long appointment or a treatment day: two separate one-way rides are usually cheaper. We drop you off and send a car back when you call.
  • A full day with several stops: hourly service is the simplest option, at $94.90* per hour in a sedan with a 4-hour minimum.

*Tolls, parking and a gratuity of at least 15% are added.

For families going through a hard stretch, the ride is one less thing to manage. A client who needed rides in and out of New York around the holidays wrote about what that meant:

“Since we were dealing with health and medical situations not having to worry about our transportation needs was appreciated.” (Vincent C., Google review)

Court Mornings at the Bergen County Justice Center

We drop off in front of the main entrance on Main Street. The curb there is for quick drop-offs only, so for the return the chauffeur waits nearby and pulls up when you call or text after leaving the building. On court mornings, allow 20 to 30 minutes for the security line, and set the pickup time with that in mind rather than the start of the hearing.

Waiting close by without hurrying anyone is how a client described her chauffeurs in a Google review:

“The drivers were courteous and even though they arrived early, they did not rush us at all. They just wanted us to know where they were waiting. They said to take our time.” (Frances S., Google review)

FDU, the Shops at Riverside and the Two Train Stations

Fairleigh Dickinson University, Metropolitan Campus

The campus sits on River Road along the Hackensack River, on the Teaneck side. We pick students up at their residence hall or at the main campus entrance. Before Thanksgiving, winter break and move-out, book a few days ahead.

The Shops at Riverside on Hackensack Avenue

Pickup is at the mall entrance you name. On weekends and throughout December, Hackensack Avenue and the Route 4 ramps are slow, so we add 10 minutes to the trip.

Anderson Street and Essex Street Stations

Both stations are on NJ Transit’s Pascack Valley Line. The chauffeur waits on the street next to the station and texts on arrival. Trains are not tracked, so a quick text to dispatch if you take a later train is all it takes to move the pickup.

Other Trips We Plan for Hackensack Clients

Many people look for a Hackensack limo service when what they need is a comfortable car at the door on time. We do not keep a stretch limousine in the fleet today; instead, the vehicle follows the trip, from an executive sedan or a Lincoln Nautilus to a Mercedes Sprinter or a bus:

For a wedding, the sedans, SUVs and Lincoln Nautilus have leather seats, the Sprinter has tinted windows and a multi-speaker sound system, and the Nautilus has Apple CarPlay and Bluetooth so the couple can play their own music.

Who Drives You and How Discreet the Ride Is

Every chauffeur goes through a background check and a previous-employer check before hiring. All vehicles are GPS-tracked and have cameras. Every vehicle is cleaned inside and out and checked (tires, lights, fluids) before it goes out, maintenance follows a mileage schedule, and any vehicle with a problem stays in the garage until it is fixed. The full standards are set out in our duty of care commitments.

For executives, officials and other well-known passengers, our chauffeurs keep what they hear in the car private. Trip details are shared only with dispatch and the assigned chauffeur, and an assistant can book and manage the ride under their own name. If your company needs a signed confidentiality agreement for a specific trip, send it to us and we will review it.

Booking a Ride From Hackensack

Across all of our trips, clients have given Air Brook a 4.9 rating in more than 870 Google reviews. To book a car service in Hackensack, NJ, tell dispatch:

  3. whether the chauffeur should wait, come back when you call, or stay with you by the hour

Early Pickups, Late Trains and Other Hackensack Questions

Is there an extra charge for a pickup before 5 a.m.?

Yes. Pickups between midnight and 4:59 a.m. carry a $25 surcharge plus gratuity, which is worth knowing before booking a first-wave flight out of Newark.

My private flight into Teterboro or my train is running late. What should I do?

Private flights and trains are not tracked automatically. A quick call or text to dispatch is enough, and we move the chauffeur’s time.

Can I ask for a chauffeur I have ridden with before?

Yes. Tell us when you book and we try to arrange it, although we cannot guarantee a specific chauffeur.

Will a parent get a message when a student is picked up?

Text alerts (a reminder, the chauffeur on the way and the chauffeur on location) go to the mobile number on the reservation, so if a parent books the ride, the parent receives them. There is no automatic drop-off message, but dispatch can confirm the drop-off by phone if you ask.
