Car Service in Cresskill

Cresskill sits a few miles north of the George Washington Bridge, close enough to Manhattan for a daily commute and far enough out that most trips start with a question of timing. Our car service in Cresskill is built around that question: when to leave Union Avenue for a morning flight, which road to take to the bridge, and how long an evening drive to JFK really takes. Most rides we run here are airport trips, followed by Manhattan offices and restaurants, shows in Englewood and the occasional school group.

What a One-Way Airport Ride From Cresskill Costs

These are the starting one-way fares from a Cresskill address, in a sedan for up to three passengers or an SUV for a bigger family or more luggage:

Cresskill to Sedan SUV
Teterboro Airport (TEB) $112.12* $177.82*
Newark Airport (EWR) $130.76* $196.46*
LaGuardia Airport (LGA) $208.48* $274.18*
JFK Airport $220.16* $285.86*

The same sedan fare applies in the other direction, so a pickup at Newark Airport for a student or teacher going to Cresskill High School starts at $130.76*.

*Starting one-way prices from our online booking form (September 2026). The online price includes all fees; tolls, parking, extra stops and waiting time are added. Your quote confirms the fare for your exact address and time.

Drive Times From Cresskill and When to Book the Pickup

Cresskill is about 24 miles from Newark Airport and about 20 miles from LaGuardia, but the clock matters more than the miles. These are the times our dispatch plans with, and the pickup time we suggest for a flight that leaves at 9 a.m.:

Cresskill to Normal traffic Rush hour Pickup for a 9 a.m. flight
Teterboro (TEB) 20 to 25 min 35 to 45 min 7:45 a.m. (private flight)
Newark (EWR) 40 to 50 min 1 h to 1 h 20 min 6:00 a.m. (domestic)
LaGuardia (LGA) 35 to 45 min 1 h to 1 h 15 min 6:15 a.m. (domestic)
JFK 55 to 70 min 1 h 30 min to 2 h 5:30 a.m. (domestic)

The spread on JFK is the widest for a reason. A ride from Cresskill to JFK crosses the George Washington Bridge and then the Bronx and Queens, so at rush hour it can take close to twice as long as in normal traffic. To reach the bridge, our chauffeurs take the Palisades Interstate Parkway or Route 9W rather than cutting through local streets. Newark is the opposite direction, and a car service from Cresskill to Newark Airport heads south toward Route 4 and the Turnpike instead.

One local habit helps the whole schedule: Union Avenue fills up around school start and dismissal, so we avoid setting in-town pickups right at those times and suggest a slightly earlier or later slot.

For the earliest flights, being early at the door is part of the job, as one client noted after a 5 a.m. pickup:

“I had a 5am pick-up. The driver was 15 minutes early. I had a great experience.” (Patricia C., Google review)

Coming Home: How the Chauffeur Waits at the Airport

Dispatch follows airline flights, so the pickup moves with the real landing time. After a domestic arrival, the chauffeur waits up to 60 minutes at no charge, and after an international arrival up to 90 minutes, enough for passport control and baggage claim. Private flights into Teterboro and trains are not tracked, so if yours is running late, a quick call or text to dispatch is all it takes and we move the chauffeur’s time.

A client heading home from LaGuardia summed up the return leg in a few words:

“Great pick up at LGA to home. Ride was professional, safe and timely. No issues. Would recommend.” (Christine, Google review)

Class Trips, Sports Days and Prom Night for Cresskill Students

We handle occasional group trips for Cresskill High School and Edward H. Bryan School: class trips, sports competitions and proms. They are usually booked by the school or by a parents’ group, in a passenger van, a Mercedes Sprinter or a 23-passenger mini bus. We do not run daily school routes. Before the trip, schools usually ask for two documents, and we send both in advance:

  • a certificate of insurance for the trip
  • confirmation that our chauffeurs are background-checked

A typical prom request looks like this: about 12 students in a Sprinter, picked up at a parent’s home, driven to the venue and brought back at a set time, with the schedule agreed with the parents in advance. For larger groups and college trips, our school and college transportation covers the planning in more detail.

Parents notice how the ride feels with a car full of children; one mother wrote about her family and the whole crew of kids:

“Great driver, responsible, carefully driving me and my family and the whole crew of kids. We had such a good time.” (Donjeta S., Google review)

Manhattan Offices, BergenPAC, Englewood Health and The Rockleigh

Away from the airports, Cresskill clients travel most often to offices and restaurants in Manhattan, to shows at BergenPAC in Englewood, to appointments at Englewood Health and to weddings and parties at The Rockleigh. For weekday meetings in the city, our corporate rides use the same bridge routes as the airport runs. A Cresskill limo service booking for a show can keep the car waiting for the ride home through concert transportation, and a reception at The Rockleigh is planned with our wedding transportation team. Neighbors in Tenafly, Demarest, Alpine and Englewood ride with the same dispatch, as do clients in the other towns across Bergen County.

Child Seats, Pets and Service Animals in the Car

A child seat costs $15 each and is added when you book. The parent or guardian installs the seat, because our chauffeurs are not allowed to install them. Pets travel in a crate or carrier and must be noted in the reservation, and service animals ride free.

Before You Book: Questions Cresskill Clients Ask Us

Is a 4:30 a.m. pickup for a Newark flight charged extra?

Yes. Any pickup between midnight and 4:59 a.m. carries a $25* late-night charge plus tip. From Cresskill, a 5:00 a.m. pickup is usually early enough for Newark flights that leave after 8 a.m., which avoids the charge.

How long will the chauffeur wait outside my house in Cresskill?

For pickups that are not at an airport, the first 15 minutes of waiting are free. After that, waiting is billed by the minute, so it helps to be ready at the door when the car arrives.

Can a parents’ group book the prom ride instead of the school?

Yes. Many prom rides are booked by parents. Share the pickup home, the venue and the return time, and we agree the full schedule with the parents before the night.

Which airport is quickest for a private flight?

Teterboro. It is the shortest drive from Cresskill, 20 to 25 minutes in normal traffic, which is why we suggest a 7:45 a.m. pickup for a 9 a.m. private departure.
